Spirit of brotherhood fails pathetic burglar

Sometimes having nosey neighbours pays off. A 23-year-old man was caught trying to break into a factory worker’s rented house in Phnom Penh’s Dangkor district on Sunday.

When the renter was at work, the burglar came by and told a neighbour he was the house owner’s brother.

The neighbour saw through the lie and detained the clumsy crook. Police brought along the alleged sister, who affirmed that the would-be thief was no long lost brother.

The man was arrested and sent to court. Koh Santepheap
