Stabbing by rival takes skip from dancer’s step

A farmer in Kampong Thom’s Baray district was stabbed in a perilous pas de deux at a dance party on Friday night.

Police said the victim was making merry at the party, which was also attended by a man who harboured a grudge against him.

Spotting his enemy, he proceeded to dance ever closer to the victim until, arriving within striking distance, he allegedly grabbed his knife and stabbed his target once in the back.

Police arrested the suspect, who reportedly confessed. KOH SANTEPHEAP
