Student beaten in case of mistaken identity

A Banteay Meanchey teen who couldn’t keep track of his rivals was arrested for beating up a bystander in a schoolyard brawl on Saturday.

Police say two gangs were fighting in Poipet commune when a student nearby who was waiting for a friend was given a whacking.

After he was taken to the hospital his parents filed a complaint to police, who tracked down the troublemaker and hauled him in.
