Suspect answers call to arms by going after ear

A man's ear was reportedly sliced off in Battambang’s Kamrieng district on Wednesday. Police said that the night before, someone stole money from the man’s pocket as he was playing cards at a funeral.

Angered, the man shouted for the thief. A few minutes later, a villager appeared with a cleaver and attempted to hack the man in the head, cutting off his right ear. The man was admitted to hospital. The alleged hacker was arrested the next day. KOH SANTEPHEAP
