Suspect finds religion, then gets found by cops

Taking refuge in the Buddha after stealing money and a mobile phone won’t spare you from the long arm of the law, a man found out on Wednesday.

Police found the suspect – who had allegedly stolen $200 and an iPhone from a co-worker – hiding out in a pagoda in Kandal’s Sa’ang district.

The man, who claimed he was helping the monks, was arrested and confessed. Koh Santepheap
