Suspected equipment thief in for a rocky time

A 32-year-old unemployed thief trying to get himself out from between a rock and a hard place only managed to dig himself in deeper after failing to steal a rock-breaking machine.

The man was arrested on Saturday for allegedly breaking into a construction company in Battambang’s Ratanak Mondol district and stealing 60 metres of electrical wire and the machine – worth $1,500.

Police said the suspect confessed, and police returned the loot. Nokorwat
