Sword is no match for sheer force of numbers

Two young brothers, set upon by gangsters at midnight on Wednesday, were saved by the presence of a friendly neighbourhood mob.

The duo was returning home on a motorbike when six thugs came up behind them on two motorbikes.

One of the suspects approached the brothers with a samurai sword and cut the younger brother on his head.

The victims shouted for help, and as people started streaming to the scene, the gangsters turned tail and fled before police arrived. The victim was sent to the hospital.
