A 38-year-old man is in a bunch of trouble after a thwarted banana heist in Kandal’s Takhmao town on Tuesday.

Police said the suspect had entered a banana farm while the owner was away and used a knife to cut down eight bunches of fruit.

However, the property’s owner returned mid-heist, spotted the suspect and raised the alarm.

The potassium-loving pilferer tried to flee, but cops managed to catch up and haul him away.
