Tanked tanker driver barrels into barriers

A petrol tanker driver – purportedly tanked himself – hit a new high score in Phnom Penh motorists’ favourite past-time early yesterday morning: Monivong barrier destruction.

The trucker destroyed an astonishing 30 street barriers, before earning some bonus points by wiping out a fire hydrant, resulting in water pluming into the air, and finally colliding with a tree.

Thankfully, his volatile load did not explode and no one was injured, though the driver escaped before police arrived.
