Teen standin’ up for his mama hacked with axe

An 18-year-old man was seriously injured while defending his mother’s honour in Kandal’s Sa’ang district on Monday.

Police said the man was at home when a neighbour came by and started cursing his mother over a personal dispute.

Incensed, the man lashed out at the foul-mouthed visitor, only to have the neighbour fight back – with an axe.

The victim was left badly injured, and the suspect fled the scene and is still at large. KOH SANTEPHEAP
