A tenacious 19-year-old student was shot in the leg for refusing to give up his ride in Phnom Penh’s Dangkor district on Saturday.

The teenager was coming back from school at 7pm when four men demanded he hand over his motorbike.

But the dogged youth refused and was shot, causing him to fall off his bike. The men were unable to rob the student’s bike because police were nearby, and fled the scene. Police are on the lookout. DEUM AMPIL
