Theft-fuelled holiday plans cut short by cops

A man hoping for an all-expenses-paid holiday will instead be making a trip to the Battambang big house.

Police said the man popped over to Banteay Meanchey and stole a farmer’s moto, before heading off to Phnom Penh to sell it.

However, police from the two provinces intercepted him on Wednesday before he made it.

The man reportedly confessed, saying he had planned to sell the bike for spending money on his short-lived vacation. RASMEI KAMPUCHEA
