Thief back for seconds … of wire and jail time

A repeat offender didn’t learn his lesson and is back in prison for allegedly stealing electrical wires from neighbours, police said.

On Monday, a man and his relatives experienced a suspicious blackout in their home in Kampong Chhnang and later saw the suspect, 28, cutting their electrical wire.

They notified the police, but not before getting in a few slaps across the man’s face. He committed the same crime in 2012. NOKORWAT
