Thief busted for trying to ‘return’ stolen AK-47

Police in Kampong Speu apprehended a man on charges of illegal weapon possession on Friday. Police said the man, 30, was roaming around his village carrying an AK-47. Obviously freaked out, villagers called the police about the nutcase brandishing a deadly firearm.

Police arrested the man and took him in for questioning. The suspect said he stole the gun from another man in 2011, and he was simply trying to return it. Despite his good intentions, he was charged. NOKORWAT
