Thief has a cow, burns down his family’s home

A delinquent son is being sought in Battambang’s Ratanak Mondol for allegedly committing arson at his family home on Friday.

According to police, the 26-year-old attempted to steal another villager’s cow and fled his home after being chastised by his angry mother.

She later allowed him to return on the condition of good behaviour, but the indignant son instead bought a litre of petrol and set fire to the house while she was out grocery shopping.

He fled while villagers helped to put out the fire, though not before it caused thousands in property damage. NOKORWAT
