Thief proves necklace theft is no kid stuff

A robber discovered that stealing necklaces from a baby is not quite as easy as taking candy from one.

The robber, 18, focused her sights on a woman, 29, and her one-year-old baby in Kampot’s Banteay Meas district yesterday, believing them an easy target.

After snatching a necklace from the child, however, the robber soon found herself being chased down by angry vendors intent on stamping out local crime.

The mother seized the necklace back before turning the woman over to police. Koh Santepheap
