Thief steals from S’ville footballer, gets kicking

A 31-year-old man attempted to steal the unguarded mobile phone of a footballer mid-match in Preah Sihanouk’s Prey Nub district.

However, as he attempted a speedy getaway on a motorbike, the sporty youth noticed the theft and garnered spectators’ support to pursue the criminal.

The villagers proceeded to knock the man off his bike and beat him, before turning him over to police. The mobile, meanwhile, was safely returned to its rightful owner. KOH SANTEPHEAP
