A Phnom Penh driver found himself suddenly in the red after he stopped at a red light and was relieved of a bag containing $8,000.

After the car pulled up to a traffic light in Chamkarmon district on Wednesday night, three thieves opened the back doors and snatched the satchel inside before driving away on a motorbike.

Bystanders knew what was up as they joined the driver in chasing down the culprits. The getaway driver unfortunately got away with the bag, but two light-fingered lackeys were arrested and taken in for legal action.
