Thieves have a literal run-in with PP police

A pair of hapless thieves made a hashed-up getaway in Phnom Penh’s Russey Keo district on March 24, riding straight into the arms of police after snatching a commuter’s bag.

In an apparently opportunistic attack, the two construction workers grabbed the bag from a 23-year-old accountant as she rode her motorbike home from work; only to end up handing it over to officers stationed a short way down the road.

The victim got her bag back and the sticky-fingered brickies received a memorable lesson in planning ahead. KOH SAANTEPHEAP
