It wasn't exactly Fort Knox, but a couple of thieves are crowing somewhere after ripping off a gold vendor in Prey Veng yesterday.

Police said the victim ran a stall selling both gold and clothing in Preah Sdach district.

When the thieves approached feigning interest in the spring lineup, she diverted her attention, giving them time to snatch six damlung of gold and head for the hills.

Despite her cries for help, police didn’t arrive in time to save the day and they’re now on the hunt for the thieving pair. KOH SANTEPHEAP
