Thieves thwarted by toilsome topography

Stealing a farmer’s moto proved harder than it looked in Kampong Thom’s Stung Sen town on Saturday.

Police said two men spotted the moto parked in a rice field.

The farmer saw the men trying to make off with his bike, so he gave chase and called for help.

Unable to go fast on the rural terrain, the suspects bailed.

Police and the farmer managed to detain one.

The suspect reportedly confessed, saying he had recently moved to the province and failed to find work.
