Things get heated for feuding neighbours

Theft just wasn’t enough for an Oddar Meanchey man who decided to set his rival neighbour’s house on fire to vent his frustration.

Police say the 19-year-old was feuding with his fellow Anlong Veng villagers before he came to their home on Monday, nabbed 50,000 riel, or about $12, and put a match to their walls – all while they were inside.

The blaze was quickly extinguished and alerted authorities found the apoplectic arsonist in the next village before they took him to a holding cell to wait for his day in court.
