Timber trucker loses load, retains freedom

A trucker hauling a suspicious load lost his truck, but kept his freedom in Oddar Meanchey province on Tuesday night.

Police in Samroang city attempted to wave down the man and his rig, but police merely prompted him to put the pedal to the metal.

He then lost control of his vehicle and careened into street barricades.

When police got to the scene, he’d escaped on foot, but left his truck and its load of timber behind.
