Too fast, too furious, too many warrants

It was too fast and far too frightening for Kampong Chhnang town dwellers who witnessed a high-speed car chase on Wednesday night.

Police say the male suspect, 21, was trying to escape an arrest warrant dating back to 2011 and fled in his sister’s car.

However, when police detained him after the chase, a military officer showed up at the station with another warrant entirely.

Police are now investigating suspected irregularities with the second warrant.
