Tree’s a crowd after drunken car wreck

A lone capital tree put an end to a raucous double date when a car carrying two men and two women slammed into it early yesterday.

Authorities say the drunken couples were tearing down Sothearos Boulevard in Daun Penh district when they veered into the wooden trunk.

Left a bit shaken but with no major injuries, the revellers were told they could come pick up their wrecked ride at the police station when their hang-overs subsided.
