A row at a pagoda during day one of the Pchum Ben festival, which honours the dead, almost resulted in one unfortunate individual being added to their number.

Two groups of men got into a row and started attacking each other with sticks and stones, ignoring pleas from police to stop until cops fired shots in the air.

The unlucky man hurt during the fracas was hospitalised with head and hand injuries. Police chased his assailants and arrested three people who were sent to court.
