Two suspects unable to steal unlocked car

Villagers in Por Sen Chey district in Phnom Penh seized one of two women suspected of trying to jack a car on Monday night.

The car owner, distracted by his son’s birthday, left his vehicle outside, until his neighbours notified him that two strangers were sitting inside it in an apparent effort to steal it.

The owner and the villagers came out and restrained one of the suspects, a 42-year-old woman, while her accomplice fled the scene.

The villagers turned the suspect over to the police.
