Unapologetic patter versus drunken wino

A brotherly pat on the head resulted in a bottle-y bash on the same after a case of mistaken identity in Poipet town on Tuesday.

Cops said a man had arrived at a local party, and thinking he spotted his brother from behind, walked up and gave him a pat on the head – a move considered highly offensive to anyone other than close friends and family.

As it so happened, the man was not his brother, and was indeed highly offended, demanding an apology on the spot. In an ill-fated attempt to keep it real, the patter refused.

On his way home, however, the aggrieved party ambushed him with a wine bottle, and beat him before fleeing.
