In unlucky draw, cops shut down gamblers

Police in Koh Thom in Kandal province raided an illegal gambling joint, arresting 16 people and seizing a bunch of paraphernalia.

The haul included 356 items, including card decks and lottery tickets.

According to the police, the raid was following government policy to maintain “security for the village”.

The arrested gamblers are being held for further questioning.
