Unsuccessful robber made to eat his veggies

A man, 50, was arrested in Kampong Cham’s Koh Sotin district on Monday, over the armed hold-up of a vegetable seller last week.

According to police the man and an accomplice chose a quiet time to confront the grocer with a gun and demand valuables.

They made off with only a necklace. The victim recognised the robbers and alerted the police, who arrested the 50-year-old and sent him to court. Deum Apil
