Vehicular vigilantism fails to foil bag snatcher

A bag snatcher made a narrow escape in Preah Vihear town on Saturday after robbing three men.

According to police, the trio was riding a motorbike when the suspect, astride his own motorbike, grabbed their bag.

In a daring – and probably ill-advised – manoeuvre, a nearby motorist who saw the scene deliberately crashed into the suspect’s bike to stop him, but the alleged thief abandoned his vehicle and vanished into a crowd of people on foot.

Police are looking for the suspect based on his bike’s registration.
