Vigilance begets beating in foiled Sen Sok theft

A 26-year-old man was arrested for breaking and injuring on Tuesday after he allegedly beat an attentive landlady who attempted to foil his plan to rob a home in Phnom Penh’s Sen Sok district.

The landlady caught the man red-handed as he tried to break a window’s lock, but he quickly started punching and kicking her.

Neighbours rushed to her aid and restrained the alleged thief, who was handed over to police and sent to court. DEUM AMPIL
