Vigilant vigilantes end moto theft oh so quickly

Nothing surprising here. When a 30-year-old motodop was attacked in an attempted robbery in Phnom Penh’s Chamkarmon district on Saturday, the mob took matters into its own hands.

While the victim was waiting for a customer at about midnight, the suspect stabbed him in the neck with a knife. Seeing the victim fall to the ground and the suspect pick up his moto, local residents grabbed the thief and beat him to within an inch of his life.

Police intervened and sent the suspect to hospital, then jail. KOH SANTEPHEAP
