Waiters attack man for ‘stealing’ own phone

A man in Kratie town was looking for his lost phone on Tuesday – and lost his dignity in the process.

The man ate at a Chinese noodle shop, where he accidentally forgot his cellphone. He came back to claim the phone shortly thereafter, but four waiters thought he was stealing it, police said.

They seriously beat the man until police intervened. The restaurant owner confirmed he was a customer, at which point the chastened waiters simply fled the scene. KAMPUCHEA THMEY
