Whiskey wielded as friendship on the rocks

A capital construction worker’s flippant reply to a repayment request earned him a face full of broken glass on Wednesday evening.

A security guard was drinking with some buddies, when he spotted the victim and reminded him of his outstanding $5 debt, which the man cheekily brushed off.

The guard took exception to his victim’s impertinent retort and hit him with a whiskey bottle. The whiskey-wielding guard was arrested and his victim sent to hospital.
