Window shoppers not simply looking around

Two women were nabbed in Phnom Penh’s Daun Penh district on Wednesday for trying to bag an iPhone 5 from a purse vendor in Central Market.

Police said the would-be thieves pretend to be scanning the victim’s stall for purses and waited till the seller was busy attending to other customers to try to snag her device.

The women made a dash, but security guards caught up with them after hearing the victim shout for help.

The duo have been sent to court.
