Woman tops up only to be shut down by thieves

It’s no secret that buying and loading credit onto a phone is a time-consuming process. It’s also distracting, as one woman in Banteay Meanchey’s Poipet district was reminded of on Monday.

Police said the woman had stopped to buy credit and was standing with her iPhone 5 next to the vendor when two suspects in their 20s rode by and swiped it.

Police eventually gave chase and made arrests. They were both sent to court. DEUM AMPIL
