A woman who claimed she was cheated by a fortune teller filed a complaint to the police yesterday.
The woman claimed she had gone to the supposed prophet in Phnom Penh after he went on radio making big claims and offering his services free of charge.
But when she got there asking for help with her business, he demanded 20,000 riel (about $5), which she gave to him.
He then demanded her bracelet, worth 26,000 riel, and told his assistants to take it from her. When she arrived home, she decided he wasn’t legit and called the police.
