Women injured by moto-riding crooks

A successful drive-by bag-snatching ended in injuries for two women early Friday in the capital’s Prampi Makara district.

Police said three women were riding a moto home when two men began following them.

Stopping at a traffic light, the men grabbed a bag from one victim and shot away.

The tussle caused the women’s bike to tip over, resulting in hospitalisation for two of them and light injuries for one.

The contents of the bag are unknown, and police are searching for the suspects.
