Would-be bag thieves thwarted by victims

Two Chinese nationals successfully stood their ground against a pair of bag snatchers in Daun Penh district on Friday night.

The suspects, aged 27 and 28, drove their moto close to the Chinese pedestrians and tried to grab their belongings.

The victims fought back and toppled the thieves from their moto in the scuffle.

Patrolling police, aided by bystanders, arrested the suspects. It was unclear if they have been charged yet.
