Would-be construction-site burglar nabbed

There are easier things to steal than cement and metal bars, as a 19-year-old in Phnom Penh’s Sen Sok district learned on Saturday night.

Police said the man had hopped the fence at a bank building site and picked up the goods when he was spotted by guards.

Realising that it’s actually quite hard to run with heavy construction materials, the man dropped the loot and took off. Police, however, caught up with him that very night and took him into custody. KOH SANTEPHEAP
