Wreckless overtake ends in court date

A Lexus driver ripped through a street divider on Tuesday, then doubled down and took out another motorist.

Police said the man was driving in the capital’s Chamkarmon district when he attempted to pass another car at speed.

Instead, he ploughed through several metres of metal barricade.

Finding it impossible to drive forward, he threw it in reverse and promptly nailed a man on a motorbike, whose left arm was broken.

An attempt to flee the scene was foiled by cops, while the injured rider was sent to hospital.
