Hoping to steal a few quiet moments under a bridge, a young couple found their romantic rendezvous ruined by a robber on Tuesday.

Police said the couple were sitting under the structure to “take fresh air” when approached by three suspects wielding a knife.

They were quickly relieved of their phones and jewellery as well as $100 cash, before the thieves took off.

Police are now on the lookout, but say the couple’s poor descriptions won’t make it easy.
