Police trio upped

Prime Minister Hun Sen has promoted three senior police officials to the rank of deputy National Police chief.

In a sub-decree signed yesterday, Hun Sen promoted Lieutenant General Mok Chito, director of the police’s Criminal Justice Department; Lieutenant General Him Yan, director of the Department of Public Order; and Lieutenant General Touch Naroth, director of the Prime Minister’s Bodyguard Unit.

The promotions are the latest in a series of promotions of senior officials in the security forces with close ties to Hun Sen.
