Blake Mogamate Tape, a 65-year-old South African national convicted in 2010 for selling his Cambodian-Vietnamese girlfriend to a Thai brothel, was yesterday acquitted by the Supreme Court.
Supreme Court judge Kim Sothavy said that lower court decisions had been incorrect and dropped all charges against him.
“I did not commit any crime and I was innocent, but I was convicted by a Cambodian court to 10 years,” an emotional Tape said. “I have been jailed for over four years at PJ prison for no reason.”
