A film about land grabbing, produced by ethnic Jarai people from Kong Yu village in Ratanakkiri province, plays on a laptop yesterday at a press conference in Phnom Penh. The villagers hope that the film will educate and protect other communities from this problem.
Hotel de la Paix winds up its program of funky be-and-be-seen art shows tonight at 6:30pm with the opening of its final 2008 exhibition, "Flowers", featuring the work of Thav Savann. Siem Reap's celebrity fashion designer Eric Raisina and Hotel de la Paix's art curator Don Protasio will help make the opening a night to remember by staging a fashion show of their designs that is in keeping with the theme of the artwork on display.
