Bheut Kam on course for Bayon championship

Bheut Kam flattened Kao Lek with an elbow in the opening round on Saturday to score a first round knockout and remain atop the Group A leader board in the 69-kilogram tournament underway at the Bayon TV boxing ring. Ven Sovan outpointed Soy Phireak in Group B match yesterday. The final matches of the group stage are scheduled for next week, when Chan Ratana will face Tuot Reachesay in Group A, and Yok Yakill will go against Chey Kosal in Group B. It is widely expected that Bheut Kam and Chey Kosal will meet in the final.
