Cambodia exit despite beating Bangladesh

Cambodia made their exit from the Bangabhandu Gold Cup Invitational Football Tournament in Dhaka despite winning their last Pool B match against hosts Bangladesh Olympic team 1-0 on Saturday.

A second-half goal by Tit Dina clinched the deal for coach Lee Tae Hoon’s side but two earlier defeats by Maldives (3-2) and Bahrain (1-0) meant the end of the campaign for Cambodia.

Maldives topped the group, followed by Bahrain.
