So that’s all folks. The CTN/PPP/CTN Fantasy League is over for another season and, as widely expected, Colin Brown’s Scooter City FC is the overall winner, collecting a 3.5G iPad, SIM card and T-shirt as his prize from sponsors Cellcard.

Colin’s impressive run this year saw him finish 240th out of over 2.6 million competitors worldwide, and his total of 2,350 points was comfortably enough to finish top of our league standings.

Jim Elliot’s El Capitan sprung up to second on 2,263 with a strong closing round, while Torres Seng’s The Whites FC completed the podium with 2,247.

Other managers making the top 10, which earn an invitation to Cellcard’s end of season party dinner, include Matt Cullis’ PPFC on 2,246, Glenn Press’ Walkabout Jokers on 2,234, Kevin O’Reilly’s heebie-jeebies on 2,205, Sir Tivea Khmer’s BEE UNITED on 2,198, Steve Longley’s O Quebecois on 2,178, Bun Kheang’s Black Diamond FC on 2,176, and Vann Daravy’s Daravy Sporting Club on 2,169.

The date and venue of the party will be announced soon.

Meanwhile, the winner of our remaining gameweek was Hong Lundy with his side TheCornerGold.

Lundy’s superior tally of 91 points was thanks to his remarkable transfer of West Ham’s Kevin Nolan, brought in for the final round and given the captain’s armband to amass 38 points for TheCornerGold.

Nolan hammered a hat-trick past a hapless Reading to assume the Most Valuable Player title of the week.

Lundy also cashed in on another treble-scoring talent, Romelu Lukaku of West Brom, for 16 points.

All other managers can do is reflect on a season of thrills and spills, inspirational signings and stupid switches, wise skipper picks and the occasional negative-points performance.

The overall Dream team had Robin van Persie at the helm once again, this time with championship-winning Man United who benefited well from the Dutchman striker’s peerless 26-goal and 15-assist campaign.

Next closest to Van Persie’s 262 fantasy points was Player of the Year Gareth Bale of Tottenham on 249 via his 21 strikes from midfield.

Chelsea’s Juan Mata and Liverpool’s Luiz Suarez shared third place on 212 points each.

So hats off to all our weekly winners and new champion Colin Brown. We hope to welcome even more Fantasy League managers when the next Premier League season kicks off on August 17.
