The Premier League was back to its ballistic best with a host of ties enjoying high scoring performances.

Top of the list was Liverpool’s 5-2 demolition of Norwich, which featured a hat-trick from controversy courting Luis Suarez.

The Uruguayan hitman also notched an assist to go with his fine triple past the Canaries to register 20 points for managers in the CC/PPP/CTN Fantasy League.

Other Dream teamers of note include Everton’s Croatian striker Nikica Jelanic, who netted twice and set up another for 16 points, while Tottenham’s Welsh winger Gareth Bale assisted two and scored one for his own 16 points.

Liverpool’s exciting new 24-year-old Turkish signing Nuri Sahin created two goals and bagged one himself for 15 points.

Over in our weekly race for Cellcard goodies, an absorbing contest saw former Fantasy League preview writer Chris Dring end up triumphant with his side Phnom Penh Suprs despite being matched on points with two others.

Dring’s 81 points was equalled by Someth Chhith’s lucaschhith and Roth Sao’s saga_return, but both made a transfer during the gameweek while Phnom Penh Spurs remained unchanged.

League rules state the team with the lowest number of transfers wins in the result of a points tie.

Dring’s wise choices included Bale as captain for 32 points, while frontmen Suarez and Chelsea’s Fernando Torres (11) took him past the finishing post.

Gameweek 7 promises another mouth-watering set of matches, opening with Man City’s welcoming of Sunderland on Saturday, a London derby between West Ham and Arsenal and closing with Newcastle against Man United on Sunday.
